Our bodies have a defence mechanism which we need when faced with a real threat or we are in danger. Our bodies release adreniline which helps us react in these situations. This is not a helpful response when we are not in danger. Such as speaking in front of a crowd.
We often put a lot of pressure on ourselves when preparing for an event such as speaking publicly to get it right the first time. Therapy can help you stay calm and focussed so you can be calm and relaxed allowing your mind to access what it needs too, when it needs too.
